Gm gm everyone~
Hope you’re doing well.
With summer break ending and the long weekend here in the US, I’ve been reflecting a lot about what’s important to me.
More to come on that in the coming months.

Coinbase is officially back in Hawaii!
After having to pull out of the Hawaiian market in 2017 due to regulatory uncertainty, residents of Hawaii are now able to buy/sell/trade crypto.
Big win! 🤙
Enjoy~ ☕️
Goldman Sachs revealed in its 13F filing that it owns ~$400M+ worth of BTC ETFs ✅
Especially impressive since just 4 months ago in April, the chief investment officer for the firm’s “Wealth Management” unit reported that they “don’t think of Bitcoin as an investment asset class” and that they’re “not believers in crypto” 👀
This reminds me of the famous Gandhi quote:
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” 💯

My Thoughts On…
The Network State Conference & The Network School
Balaji is a big brain, regardless of how you view him.
Taking concepts from his recent digital book, The Network State (free PDF download from his official site at the link), Balaji is hosting a one-day conference that is free for all who remotely tune in (register at the link).
More info here ⤵️
I will 100% be attending the conference - already got my ticket 🎟️
More interesting is The Network School. With the tagline “learn, burn, earn, and fun”, it’s hard to not want to attend this 90-day residential program to level-up in different aspects of your life. Here’s the link for the screening application, which is necessary for acceptance into the program.
More info here ⤵️
Either way, I highly encourage everyone to at least read Balaji’s initial tweet about The Network School ⤵️
If I were in college or just out of college…I would immediately sign up for this residency. It’s these types of opportunities that don’t come everyday.
What I’m Reading Part 1
Len Sassaman and Satoshi: a Cypherpunk History
I never knew the history behind Bitcoin nor the main actors who are attributed to the success of the world’s first modern blockchain.
This deep dive into a possible candidate for Satoshi Nakamoto had me searching more into the cypherpunk scene that existed long before the Bitcoin White Paper was published on October 31st, 2008.
What I’m Reading Part 2
The Most Important Question of Your Life by Mark Manson
Happiness requires struggle.
Originally shared by Time Ferriss, I’ll be adding this post to my “must-read” list during my quarterly reviews.
There’s not much else I can say except read this article.
What I’m Reading Part 3
Reflection: Art in the Age of Mechanical Creativity by Anirveda (shared by Pindar Van Arman)
I have been a big fan of Pindar’s works for quite some time now.
Having first encountered him online several years ago and then in-person last September, I was fortunate to host a small dinner last winter with Pindar and fellow collectors.
IRL > Digital connections in almost every situation 💯
This reflection by Anirveda sheds light onto Pindar’s practices and his transformative process in AI artistry.
Highly recommend the read.

Need I say more?
Nintendo is opening its official Nintendo Museum in October 2024 in Kyoto.
I don’t want to do this any injustice, so I’ll just defer to the official Nintendo Direct linked above which premiered last week.

Quote I’m Pondering

2nd Quote I’m Pondering
“We are creating a world where all may enter without privilege or prejudice accorded by race, economic power, military force, or station of birth.”
