The end of June is always bittersweet.
People move on to their next great adventure, while a new group begins their journey.
Such is the cycle in academia.
Nevertheless, the passion and excitement from both sides is inspiring to be a part of.

And not to mention that half the year has passed us by.
So much - yet so little - has occurred, that it’s crazy to imagine how quickly these past 6 months have flown by.
It reminds me of that quote from Bill Gates:
“Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.”
As such, I have some new responsibilities that require more time, and some sacrifices have to be made - so I’ll be transitioning to 2x posts/month for the rest of this year.

Triple-A’s “The State of Global Cryptocurrency Ownership in 2024” Report
Triple-A (not to be confused with AAA) released their “state of ownership” report for 2024.
Below are some key takeaways ⤵️:
562M people use crypto globally, an increase of 33% from 420M last year
Thus, 6.8% of the global population use/own crypto ✅
The UAE is the country that has the highest rate of adoption, at 25.3%
Singapore is 2nd with 24.4%, while the US is at 15.5%
This graphic shows the overall adoption rate of crypto per continent, averaging a global adoption rate of ~+60%/year
61% of users are male
34% of users are aged 25-34, while 31% are aged 35-44
Those aged 18-24 have a 14% adoption rate
31% of adults globally are underbanked; but 78% have direct access to a smartphone
There are now more people using crypto than there are using American Express 🤯

Iconic Moments recently announced plans for the November 2024 opening of the MoA+L, in Manhattan, Kansas.
The big thing? A dedicated space to showcase digital art.
The inaugural exhibition will display pieces from these artists 💯
Maybe a trip to Kansas will be in my near future.
