"Candor is the compass that points the way to trust, understanding, and growth. In every meaningful relationship and endeavor, honesty and openness are the keys that unlock progress and connection."
Candor is the foundation upon which strong and mutually beneficial relationships are built.
This plays in building trust and fostering meaningful connections with others. It highlights that in both personal relationships and professional endeavors, embracing candor as a guiding principle is essential for creating an environment where trust can flourish.
This leads to greater understanding and opportunities for growth.
How coincidental is it that after my post last week about fluoride and the remineralization and demineralization cycles of enamel, that Andrew Huberman posts his AMA on Fluoride to his podcast feed?
Link to his ~30 minute AMA (truncated version as a free subscriber) ⬅️
It sounds like a dedicated episode on oral health is coming up soon.
Will be very interesting to hear the advice that he gives, especially given his influence via his global platform.
This reminds me of the dental episode that Peter Attia did with Patricia Corby ~2 years ago.
A lot of solid advice and general guidelines were given in that episode, but some of the topics that were brought up did not align with my thoughts as a pediatric dentist.
All that to say, the oral health of each individual differs greatly; you should never take unsolicited dental advice from strangers online. Go speak to your dental provider and find out what’s best for you.
What I’m Listening To (Podcast)
Bankless Podcast: 207 - Read. Write. Own. | Chris Dixon
Chris Dixon is a legend in the space, as an investor through a16z.
With the release of his new book, “Read Write Own: Building the Next Era of the Internet”, he’s been doing the podcast circuit to help promote his mental frameworks around understanding crypto.
***The book is a MUST READ for anyone interested in learning more about crypto and understanding it’s importance in today’s day and age (and for the future).***
This podcast will give a glimpse into what the topics are; if you’re going to read any book this year, I highly recommend it be this one.
What I’m Trying
After meeting owner, André Ramsey, in Art Basel during the Human Unreadable exhibition, I knew I would want to support an endeavor such as this.
A combination of coffee with artistry - each bag you purchase will come with an accompanying NFT of the art depicted on the coffee bag.
This collaboration with artists + the collectibility of the coffee bags with the accompanying NFT + also getting coffee beans = pretty innovative and fun way to collect and drink coffee.
Ordered three bags this past week and looking forward to trying it out when they arrive!
Yearly Challenge
UTR Rankings and Competitive Tennis
As a self-certified tennis has-been, I’m taking it upon myself to seriously get back into the game.
At one point in my life, I would be playing tennis every single day for at least 3 hours.
To return to that level of athleticism and fitness would be an extraordinary feat given my current responsibilities and nearly impossible.
However…I can get back into the game in a competitive spirit by participating in tournaments again.
This past week, I’ve decided to take it upon myself to enter the competitive circuit again (within reason).
One way is to get a definitive UTR ranking by playing matches.
Fun fact: UTR has expanded to include Pickleball too.
We’ll see what my UTR ranking is by the end of the year - it’ll be a fun, lifelong journey!
Tech Tool I’m Enjoying
Making waves this week due to the announcement of Frames (which I still need to do a deep dive on), Farcaster has seen great adoption and usage from the crypto-native crowd in recent days.
In checking out their website, their list of active dApps are very impressive.
Will be looking closely at each one over the next few weeks.
Otherwise, been really enjoying the dedicated “channels”, the ability to gift “warps”, and the “tipping” culture using the $degen token.
I think Farcaster has legs to become something really special.

Exciting Update
Some exhilarating meetings this past week that help to focus attention where it needs to be directed.
Stay safe out there and be happy~
